The Tomo EVO, designed by Daniel Tomo Thomson, is one of the most versatile modern planing hull designs ever created. The parallel outline, wide nose, and balanced volume distribution make the board extremely stable when paddling, fast down the line, and very easy to surf across a wide range of conditions.
The EVO features Tomo’s Quad Inside Single Concave bottom design, which creates lift, speed, and acceleration while still allowing smooth rail-to-rail transitions and control through turns. The board generates speed quickly and has a very large sweet spot, making it forgiving, fast, and responsive.
Built in Dark Arts carbon construction, this board is significantly lighter and more reactive than traditional fiberglass boards. Carbon construction increases strength while also making the board feel extremely lively and fast underfoot, allowing for quicker response and sharper turns.
This board works very well in Pavones, where speed and flow are everything. It paddles easily, gets into waves early, and carries speed effortlessly on long right point break waves.
